Hi @sj_h1

You obviously have the triangle of doom!

As I said before, my first strategy would be rightclick and select uninstall .... and hope Windows does better next time.

But if that fails, it says it is CH341 .. there are lots of references on the web for CH341 drivers ... sorry I can't personally recommend one, but that is where I would search next.

If you need to install one manually, uninstall the one with the triangle first.

And on a search .. the first candidate was www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U0k_hnxx8I

Sorry, no guarantees....

Good luck, I am sure we all sympathise with your plight ... Dave

@sj_h1

If you get a message like this it is for sure the driver.

You need to install the CH341 correct and reboot. This worked for me at least.

Grtz,
Ray

Youre right I had to do the same thing nd take the last version. Going to the site mentioned before there is an option for English ( which many people here understand better as me) and you can download the latest drivers.

Download it and do a manual installation it will work. I assume this board isbought from AliExpress or so en a look at the nedors site will help many times as well. I buy a lot from there and always works well.

Grtz,
Ray

@sj_h1 In the IDE, select the board first, then try to connect to a port.

@sj_h1 Ok, can't help much, I run a Mac. Try searching the forum as others have had your problem. See what they did to fix their error.

Ok, I got a replacement Nano and the comm port now shows up! So, it was defective. Now I get "avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 10 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00". After Googling this error one of the suggestions was Change Tools->Processor->Atmega 328P to Atmega 328P (Old Bootloader). This worked and now I can download just fine. Thanks to everyone for the help and I hope this helps someone else.

@sj_h1 I also just had that error. First time. I swapped IDE's, and loaded blink, it did upload and run but no messages in the output. Finally, it just started working again.
