I would say it depends on what you want to do with it. If you just need to do the basics, I found a FNIRSI 1014D on Amazon, if you're an engineer and need extreme precision this ain't it. It will however do anything you need as far as project work I think, nothing I plan will need 1MHz nevermind GHz so.. I'm pleased with mine, let's me know if I have a signal. There are other options but this gives me a desktop unit with probes. The only drawback is the documentation is not for beginners but there are a few videos on it. An FYI for context, last time I used a scope was in 1981 Gr 11, this was pretty easy to get the basics of down and see if the project is doing what I want.
