2nd gen, 35 yr (Semi) Retired Member of UA Local 488. RSE Steamfitter/Pipefitter and NCSO. Took electronics in Gr 11, the computer class had to use punch cards, the electronics class however had the latest cutting edge technology!! A Tandy 8K with 7"(?) floppy drive!!! Why you could load a couple disks and play Star Trek, none of this make a nude with font after 20hrs making punch cards and going to the school board to line up, load in your stack of cards, and hope.

Unfortunately the education system was not for me and thus, froze my ass off for a living making sure everyone else didn't. Always been a "Nerd" and now have time to get into it. As a Fitter I got to do everything from instrumentation and controls to critical lifts (95%+ crane capacity) in all Kinds of processes and locations. Now I run a small shop with one of my union brothers as our retirement.
