Hello everyone!!
My name is Kevin from South CarolinaΒ
I am new here and know nothing about electronics or Arduino's but have been playing around with it. Would love to learn as much as I can and hope some of you folks on here will be able to help me out and hopefully over time I will be able to help others out with their projects as well.

Welcome to the forum Kevin!
As Iβm sure you will find there are many members on here with varied levels of experience in both electronics and programming. Iβm sure they would be willing to help you with any questions or problems you may have.
Just pick the appropriate subject forum for you question, etc. and ask away.
Again welcome!!
Lee
As you write you have been "playing around" with electronics and the Arduino I assume you are using a beginner tutorial. Usually the first Arduino project is the flash a LED and read a BUTTON project. Post anything that might not be clear to you for elucidation or post your successful projects to show off what you have achieved so far π

@robotbuilder Hello! Thank you for your response.Β
Yes, when I mentioned playing around you are exactly correct. I had bought an Arduino starter kit and went through the first project with the blinking LED. I have been reading Arduino for Dummies as well but I am more of a hands on kinda guy so I have been watching Dronebotworkshop videos on YouTube and been learning much more that way.
One video I watched that I really wanted to build was with How to Control A Stepper Motor With Hall Effects Sensors. I built it and it kind of works but my Hall Sensors led stay lit up and when my magnet comes close to it, it turns off the led and reverses the stepper motor but in the video the motor reverses when the hall effects sensor led light comes on. Not sure what I did wrong but probably wired something wrong. I liked that video and how he made the motor work like a windshield wiper.
It will take me some time to learn but I hope I will get it. I am a Senior member with the Civil Air Patrol and I am wanting to bring to our Squadron some electronics. These young kids are just looking for something new and I decided that I would take the time and effort to learn some fun and interesting things in electronics and share it with these young cadets.
Thank you,
Rebreatherdiver
