@jassim-talal, welcome to the forum! You will find members with varying degrees of experience and skill sets, but mostly willing and able to help with any questions, problems ,or solutions you might have about electronics and software development. I come from an industrial automation background, now retired, but have over 40 years experience as a instrumentation/electrical technician most of it in a paper mill where I was the SME (subject matter expert) in Control Valve technology for the last 20 years of my career in a paper mill. I worked 8 years in waste water, and demineralization and boiler management systems as well. And before all that, off-shore oil and gas, and power generation in my 40 + years. Hope to see what projects you come up with, and as always, have fun and be safe!

regards,

LouisR

@inst-tech Dear Louis, appreciate ... hopefully I'll be in touch with you.

Actually, nevertheless I'm mechanical, but work with automation for more than 20 years. Specially with Rockwell Automation, because my job needs that, and as I've explained in my introductory, I work as a self employed and need to do the mechanical, electrical and control by my self to decrease the cost . You know, there are many equipment in the water and waste water units like pumps, motorised valves ... etc. Previously, all these equipment are controlled by PLC and some time with SCADA. At present I try to use a microcontroller like Arduino and ESP instead of the ready PLCs which are programmed by Ladder Logic. Also thinking with SBC like Raspberry pi to utilise it in the mentioned field.

Any how, thank you for your kind contact and best wishes.

Jassim

@jassim-talal Very well...I think your on to something using MPU ( micro-processor units) for field locations that are remote, and have limited power available. As you may know, most waste water plants utilize a lot of pneumatic valves as well as electric motor types (MOV's).. so using micro-processors like ESP-32, and ESP-8266MCU can really be a solution to cutting wiring and installation cost associated with new or modified equipment installation.

Be safe my friend, and good luck with all your projects.

Regards,

LouisR
