Hi everyone, Just a quick intro. I've been a fan of Bill and his exceptional work for a long time now, I even signed up for the forum around 9 months ago. I didn't enter into discussions as at the time I couldn't participate properly but now I've retired I intend to be an active member. At the moment I'm using Pico W but have Arduino Uno/Nano, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. I have plenty of enthusiasm and determination but my programming is weak. I will be using the forum for advice.

@ronbentley1 Thank you for the welcome Ron.
I can't help but smile at your icon as when I was a kid I spent a lot of time and wasted a lot of paper drawing a similar design plus the 3 sprouting hairs.

Me too, that's where it came from!!🤣

PS
BTW, I like your tag line ("Non Sibi Sed Omnibus", Not for one's self but for all - translation from the latin).
Its bang on the forum's ethos and principles!

I would say he might have been the plank owner. Did I spell it correctly? Was it Killroy or Kilroy?
SteveG
It's one "l", but I knew what you meant.
You dont seem to see much of Kilroy these days, do you think he (or she) has retired?🤣

He/She is timeless! Just like George P. Burdell! Do you know George's history?
SteveG
No, never heard of him, although wiki says:
George P. Burdell is a fictitious student officially enrolled at Georgia Tech in 1927 as a practical joke. Since then, he has supposedly received all undergraduate degrees offered by Georgia Tech, served in the military, gotten married, and served on Mad magazine's Board of Directors, among other accomplishments.
But on this same note, I recall that when I was at college many years ago we signed up a student called Otis Redding during initial registration!
Whilst the class knew who Otis was, the lecturers kept markng him absent.
I feel quite bad about that now.

PS
We seem to have high jacked this thread!!!🤣

Yes it is true that we have hi-jacked the thread, so this will be my last. I was a Ga Tech student, so your wiki search turned up the answer to my question. 😎

Hi guys, I have no problem, talk away. I just assumed that Kilroy was something used in the war to remind people that they should not be passing information that could be overheard.
