@frogandtoad TBH, I hadn't noticed that and when reading your comment it isn't displayed. I will unsubscribe now that you have brought this to my attention, but I was certain it started out elsewhere.

What the hell?

Are you stupid?
I never requested you to UNSUBSCRIBE!

I welcome your engagement, as I do anyone else who is interested in any topic!

@frogandtoad Really, the attached screen print is proof you did. I will be only because I don't need to use OOP and have already admitted I do not plan on spending my time learning C++.

Screen Shot 2022 03 28 at 06.06.24

Please look up in the dictionary definition, the difference between a suggestion and a request... Do you really not understand the difference?

@frogandtoad I guess not.

Somehow posts from @frogandtoad often end up this way.  Love the way he suggest you remove yourself from the post an relax after getting rather wound up in a previous post and castigating your mental abilities.   I'm guessing that froggy is not drinking his coffee ration as he seems awfully agitated.

I did no such thing!

I am merely suggested that if a member has no interest in such posts, then they are free to not participate, adding irrelevant and discouraging noise to the discussion.. I think that is a fair position to take, don't you?  Why are you here? I thought you mentioned that you would not participate anymore? We all know from your past history, that you totally oppose the learning of OOP in C++, as shown in these recent threads, and just add to the noise and fire up the opposite views with your discouraging comments.

Viewers should not take my word for it... they can easily search this forum for your total and ongoing opposition to learning C++ and OOP.

Hope you're proud of yourself!

You're only doing this forum a disservice!

@zander @frogandtoad Research is

Posted by: @zander

@frogandtoad Research is difficult for me, remember I am on the spectrum and learning new stuff is very tedious. Since I only have a few years left it seems like a waste of time for ME. I think I can say with confidence that I have not seen much OOP code in all the arduino code I have looked at.

Wow, so you have booked your date in the 6 foot ditch already?
In that case, can I send you my condolences now?

@frogandtoad OOPS forgot to quote. This sounds like a death threat to me, are you serious?

Death threat?  LOL - You got to be kidding me mate!

I do not wish death upon you or anyone at all!

I think you just need to remove yourself from this post and relax.

@frogandtoad I don't plan on removing myself yet.

Fantastic... I look forward to your technical contribution then!

@frogandtoad I will be doing that as soon as I have responded to all the comments that mention me, it's polite.

Well, I have no idea as to what you will be doing, because I have no context, due to your failure to nominate the context in your post of who you are replying to, as well as the discussional content you're referring to!

@frogandtoad That was my reply to you asking me to unsubscribe.

I did not ask you to unsubscribe... do you understand English?

@frogandtoad I do and I already admitted I mistakenly confused suggest with demand. AGAIN, you seem to be answering your messages in reverse order.

Excuse me... but I never suggested that he remove himself, I mentioned that he ignore the thread if he wasn't interested in the topic... so please correct your statement - that is 2 completely different things.

You are the true antagonist of this group, just look at the crap you are talking now!
You are not even interested in this topic, and I know that for a fact from past history

Others can search for previous OOP and C++ posts to make up their own mind.

If you have nothing to contribute to this topic other than discourage people and try to antagonist people, what are you actually doing in this thread? Please tell us... what???

@byron I don't know why he is carrying on the way he is. I honestly don't remember much about what we are 'discussing' but he seems awfully emotional about it. The problem is I am not easily put off and will not allow anyone to bully me so I will always respond. I WILL drop my subscription to the OOP stuff eventually as I just have no interest at this stage of my life.

I'm not carrying on about anything... just defending myself against your silly claims!

You didn't?  Who authored the post calling zander a plonker and a moron then?  It has your name of it.

Posted by: @frogandtoad

Why are you here? I thought you mentioned that you would not participate anymore?

News to me.  I think your agitation is giving you delusions

Posted by: @frogandtoad

you totally oppose the learning of OOP in C++

Again, news to me.   All I have done is put up a flag that for simple arduino code using classes is not necessary as, in my admittedly hobby use of the Arduino, I have not found cause to use them and suggest its unnecessary for beginners to worry about.   I see you have recently changed your tune from encouraging beginners to learn about classe to intermediate users.  My very point.  And for any beginner or whatever level wishing to lean more of C++ they have your peals of wisdom to go on as a counter argument.  Whilst I may put a counter argument, I don't disparage your alternative view.  Clearly you take a zealots view and cant abide another opinion.   Why would those looking at the good C++ tutorials and choosing to proceed to learn C++ classes be put off by me.  You are far too delicate.

Who was it that suggested not to pollute this C++ thread with irrelevant posts.  That would be you then.  Now I think it was a very good suggestion, so why dont you start your comments from anther thread.  I think we need a dedicated thread for this and 'Froggys Grivences' would be an apt title.

And I think thats enough for now, as your getting to the hissy fit stage and I will only revert on any future sensible posts.

I didn't tell him to unsubscribe at all, that is absolutely false - I merely stated that if he wasn't interested that he didn't have to participate... is there something wrong with that advice?  You seem to think there is.

Secondly, in my self defense, he deserved the plonker and and moron attributes towards him, because who in their right mind would accuse someone of death threats?  Do you really think I threatened him with death?  This actually says more about you than it does about him - You are really harboring some hate, aren't you eh? I feel sorry for you!

Like I have mentioned a number of times now, and you even stated you would no longer participate in this thread any further... here it is again... please don't get confused... if you have nothing positive to contribute to a discussion, then please feel free to ignore it and participate in a thread that truly interests you... something you know about.  Is there something wrong with that advice?  That's how forums work!

Your hate is so obvious, and has been for years... why would you say something so stupid?
How would you feel and what would your response be if I accused you of death threats towards me?

This is how ever thread in this forum ends up because you pollute it with crap, and can't wait to get your hate speech in.  You think that no one notices, but we all know what you're like.

Hope you're happy... have a good night sleep!

@binaryrhyme

It's too late for that, we're 20 pages into this thread. It's totally swamped out the introductions and relevant requests for help on other topics.

Anything seems possible when you don't know what you're talking about.

Unfortunately... you can't have peace with so many detractors and discouraging / attacking comments!

Question... 20 pages of C++ code discussion is somehow considered bad in a C++ sub forum category, but would the same sentiment apply if we had 20 pages of Nrf24L01 or something else swamping the right pane?

I haven't seen any evidence of that at all!

@frogandtoad

A discussion of Nrf24L01 wouldn't produce 5-deep nested quotes regarding perceived affronts.

Find another 20 page thread in the forum, is there one ?

Anything seems possible when you don't know what you're talking about.
