Hi Guys,
I will be using two 12V sealed lead Acid batteries to power my robot.
One for the 12V circuit and the other for the 5V circuit, I intend using a buck converter for the 5V and a buck/boost converter for the 12V.
Can the ground lines be connected together after the converters or will I need to keep them separated?

You can tie both negatives on the batteries together. You want a common ground.
