Hello. Name is Robert. Needed a new hobby so figured I this electronic stuff a shot. Getting older now and maybe confusing myself, highly successful at it too, with Arduino and such might keep my brain from going to mush.
Learnt more from watching Bill's videos than anywhere else.
Nice to be a part of a helpful community such as this.

Welcome to the forum @crazyman! As you will see, there are quite a few of us that are in that situation where we are easily confused...hehehe... but your on the right track, the brain needs exercise just as the body muscles do..and this is the perfect cure for that.
This hobby requires a lot of reading, studying, and patients with a never ending goal of learning. Some of us have been doing this for a lifetime, and are still learning, and somewhat confused too...but as you'll no doubt see, it all will get sorted out in time.
Hang in there, and enjoy the ride into the world of electronics and micro-processors and controllers.
