My mane is Bruce, I am a heavy equipment mechanic by day and electronics tech by night.  I have been a mechanic for 30 years and a few years ago decided to go back to school and learn something new so now I have a degree in electronics and I debug circuit boards to the component level and repair them.  I am working on several projects at the moment, an 8 bit computer built on breadboards, a remote control car and a robot that is similar to the db 1, that is what got me interested in dronebotworkshop yt videos.

@bman99

Welcome to the forum.

Is your 8-bit computer similar to the one Julian Ilett built ?

Anything seems possible when you don't know what you're talking about.

@will I am following Ben Eater on yt, the main reason for this project is to understand how a computer operates on a basic level.

Welcome and nifty projects you have on the go there. I flashed to a Star Trek NG episode about Geordi where aliens abduct him because he can "make it go" when reading your bit. Strikes me you're one of the "make it go" types.

Lots of friendly folks here, so nice to have you with us.
