Hi - I tried to find a solution to use Bluetooth with the board, but I realize I´d need a description since there is no explanation to be found

This is posted in the 'Suggest NEW Content' section. Are you suggesting Bill do a video on using Bluetooth in general, or is there something special with the Arduino R4?

Have you installed the UNO R4 BT library yet?

Are the example sketches not helpful?

Perhaps if you post in the relevant forum/sub forum maybe under 'Help Wanted' with more details you might get more help.

Hi - not sure where to put this topic - of course a video would be excellent.

However, I don´t find anything about BT connectivity in the general board introduction.

And the only library I get searching Uno R4 BT is HC0x_AT_Config....

So, will I have to go into ESP32 programming to find anything?

And, what would be the name of the best library for the purpose?

Of course, a simple program would be a great help once the right library is installed

I would absolutely want Bill to make a video on how to connect the R4 Wifi via Bluetooth, for a símple sketch. Tried various examples, none works for various reasons.. Even had code corrected by ChatGPT, to no avail. Sorry, but that´s how it is

@gamen I have never heard of using Blue Tooth to 'connect' WiFi. Perhaps a better statement of requirements will help.

Sorry if I´m not clear enough - I´m referring to the Arduino R4Wifi, also supplying an ESP32 Bluetooth connection. Thought that was common knowledge in this community

@gamen That is common knowledge as Bill the man behind DroneBot Workshop did a video about it already. I for one however still have no idea what it is you are asking.

The video you´re mentioning does not describe how to make a Bluetooth connection to perform simple tasks, which is what i ask. Once again. Performed in Bill´s normal calm and exclusive manner

@gamen

You may want to take a look at this thread on the Arduino Forum. Looks like there may be a firmware update for the Uno R4 that includes BLE support (it mentions the availability of examples). I haven't tried it yet.

@gamen Sorry I misunderstood. You just want Bluetooth examples, I thought you were asking how to use Bluetooth to make a WiFi connection which I never heard of. For what you want, simply reference any Bluetooth examples for the ESP32 module, it's the same hardware.

@lee-g That adds BLE support which is different from Bluetooth.

@gamen You need to learn to reply and/or use the @name tag to direct your words to a specific member or members.

Then use language that all us techies understand and forms a clear image in our minds of what is in yours.

Sorry to be so blunt, but your posts are extremely enigmatic.

Ron, you´re the only one to answer.....

The issue is clear enough - I, and many with me, have problems connecting an Android to R4Wifi/ Bluetooth using the ArduinoBLE library, which is advised. What is needed is a tutorial with a short code, showing how to give a serial command to the Arduino to perform an action. The serial connection seems to be the problem.

Is this clear enough? There are other tutorials out there, I went through most of them. None is working for me, even after correcting using ChatGPT. I also use the MIT2 application.
