Did you use the arduino IDE to program it, or did you buy it programmed for something close to it ?
I used arduino ide with marlin set up the thermistor for the hot bed and hot end and LCD I have to clear back room for more room 2 200 lbs+ robots take up space but I'm almost done then I can move the printer to a table and and finish preparation the TV tray it is on now won't do lol I'll have on the robot eventually on a lexan bracket
Cool. You're moving along the right path 🙂
Mounting it on (or in) the robot, I think, is an idea that I may not have come up with. I like it. I hope that you don't expect the one to be printing while the other is moving tho. Those things don't take well to being jarred (usually anyway, your design might be able to handle it) I also had to print some shock absorbers. Something you may want to think about
Being a diy project, I had to build both of mine on a lazy susan turntable, so I could get to all sides of it while sitting in one place to work on it. Also, the styrofoam sides aren't "fixed" in place. I can remove any of the sides or the back so that I can work on it. Do you have access panels that you can use, or is it on some kind of drawer-slider system so that it slides out so that you can get to all the parts that will be "hidden" inside the robot ?
well i just bought the Anet A8 Plus 3D Printer. i cant wait. its only being shipped a few hundred miles
ive been wanting one for so long 🙂 🙂 🙂
Congratulations! ? Will be interesting to compare your experience with the printer with Steve. Is yours a kit or preassembled?

That has some pretty impressive specifications for the price, nice buy! I assume you've already ordered a dozen spools of filament by now as well?
I'm sort of torn between the "have it all now" aspect of buying one prebuilt and my DIY nature to build one.
Perhaps the only solution is to do both! I could use the prebuilt one to make parts for the DIY one. And of course, make videos & articles of the whole thing.
Enjoy your new toy!

naa buying it broke the bank so to speak. but i see prices for $15 USD for a kilo of filament.so im sure ill have all the colors soon enough. still got to build it too but i have confidence

i would love to see a video of you making one and one made using your own printed parts would be awesome. ive seen a few videos of where people make their own using cd burners. but i vote that its time to see a real homebrew one. and i cant think of anyone better to make it then you
Is yours a kit or preassembled?
its a kit. ill be sure to take pics and post about my journey.
As for taking photos or video recording my assembly there was a point while I was getting rather frustrated that my wife walked by and said she thought that after I got through "bleeping" out the 4 letters words that there wouldn't be much to see. She is probably right!

The last word in the Recent Posts section was assembly, so it didn't really didn't need to be bleeped, but the preview only showed the first three letters of "assembly" then three periods! LOL
