Anyone know of a few good websites that cover the LM317 in detail and has lots of great schematics I can use?
Im in the process of revamping my Power Supply and want to add some variable voltage options to the 12V portion of the computer PSU ... but I need more than a couple of amps to be available, Im looking more for about 20A....

I second that advice..
You can find the old National Semiconductor datasheet at Jameco here:

The datasheet is very informative gives quite a few examples including ones with pass transistors for higher current
You can also do a google search for "lm317 Schematic" and view images. There are literally hundreds of results.
