Maybe try not printing so many parts all at once. This way if something goes wrong you won't lose the whole batch
i wouldntΒ try printing that many at once i was just trying to get a total print time for all the part for witch @robo-pi was asking for. i only print print while im awakeΒ Β dont need any white clouds or fires in my living room π
also i just have to say im pretty impressed i never thought this sub forum would reach 13 pages its blowing my mind ?Β

I am just getting caught up on this thread, and enjoying it! I have a Creality 10S Pro, and went through a similar learning curve. I will say that the process of going from the box to getting good test prints was much faster on the Creality 10s Pro, but it is a $600 printer. Still relatively inexpensive for what you get, and I did have to do some mods to get the repeatabilty I was after. I few thoughts on what has worked well for me....
- I have had the best luck with HatchBox PLA. It tends to melt nice through the hot end between 185 and 195. I never go higher. Bed temp is set around 65, if doing a bigger print I will only keep 65 for first few layers then drop temp to about 45.Β
- I prefer using the cheaper brass .4 nozzles, and keep a few on hand.
I use Cura for my slicer and spent a lot of time getting my settings dialed in. Cura works great, and when you get right, you can get near perfect prints. There are a zillion tweaks you can make in Cura, so it will take time. For me, the biggest impact on quality had to do with retraction settings to prevent stringing, and combing mode, which defines the path the nozzle takes when moving. I think I have enough benchy's to decorate a Christmas tree!
ive been having a bit of a problem with my printer. the extruder will keep moving the filament up and down during a pring to the point were it wont etrude any filament (and the filament moves up and down about an inch) and i come back to it and the extruder head is about 3-5mm above my printΒ (it just goes crazy) just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or any idea on how to fix it i was thinking its my retraction settings but it only happens once in a whileΒ
Could be a clog, or it could be a jam caused by the retraction. There's a little lip in between the nozzle and the throat, if the filament gets retracted above that lip it could jam
If you have OctoPrint, try pausing the print and hitting the "extrude" button a few times to see if anything comes out
Retraction's nice when it's configured properly, but, it can also be a real pain UNTIL it's configured properly

im waiting to set it up til i get my cam on Wednesday. but if it was just a jam wouldnt it just keep trying to feed it down and not make it go all crazy feeding up and down about an inch at a time per second. when i restart it it will go just fine. just seems like it gets a stroke about 2 hours into print. this time i only messed with the scaling try to increase total volume by 100% also thinking that might be an issue. maybe a firmware issue? ive had it happen a few timesΒ
Β
EDITΒ
also by the time i notice it the extruder head is way above the printΒ
if the filament gets retracted above that lip it could jam
it doesn't reach above the lip. i reset the machine and it works fine again for a bitΒ
If the nozzle is above the print, but still pretending to print, and nothing is coming out, it probably stopped printing awhile ago
I've screwed up settings in my Cura a few times and made it do exactly that, in fact I eventually quit using Cura cuz I screwed it up so many times
what slicer do you use ive been wanting to try a new one but when i watch YT videos i get like 5 choices. Cura works but i would like to try new optionsΒ
I've tried a few, but, most recently I've been using IdeaMaker, and liking it quite a bit
well its time to replace my bearings mine are grinding. what type did you go with did you go with the bushing or the Β Linear metal bearing?

Holly smolly!Β Β Didn't you just get this thing?Β It's wore out already? ?Β
I think I'm going to still with my lathe and millingΒ machine. ?Β
