@robo-pi Maybe you'd like this one ?... You'd just have to put a Jetson into it and teach it to climb trees ? ?
If I save up for the rest of my life I might be able to buy one of the tires. ?

I am thinking on this I wonder if I can use it with the panda the panda with its on board 2560 and built in arduino ide the 2 might work well together a Tim Taylor set up more power it already has 2 pi4 2 pi3 b+ panda with full windows 10 ros on windows I think I'll be trying to catch up to it for quite some time
I'm not sure whether this is a serious question or the precursor for a joke.
Not a joke (this time). It was a comment on overkill
A race car engine in a tractor won't realistically help you plow the field faster any more than a faster Pi4 will help you print faster (Admittedly, there does seem to be a bit of a bottleneck when recording timelapse with Octo-Print, but I think that's an issue with upgrading the timelapse software, not anything to do with the Pi itself. Oddly enough, it seems to be an upgrade that broke it)

I totally agree.
Putting a Valkyrie (or a Porsche) engine in an old Ford farm tractor is hardly being done with efficient farming in mind. In fact, by the looks of that tractor I don't think anyone will be taking it out in an old dirty field to farm with it. ?
It was clearly done for artistic expression will probably never be run save for starting it up at shows.
I'm not sure if I comprehend the artistic expression in using a Pi 4 for what a lesser model Pi can easily do. But then again, there's a lot of art I don't understand. ?
I suppose a practical argument could be made for this if a person is going to be printing extremely complex stuff and needs to do a lot of calculations during a print? I have no clue since I don't even own a 3D printer myself. I went and done spent all my money on a Jetson Nano. ?
If I actually owned a 3D printer I'd probably become addicted to it. But since I never had one and I have no clue what I'm missing using my old Lathe/Mill and doing things the old fashioned way seems normal to me.
Actually last winter I probably spent over $600 on new accessories for my Lathe and Mill, easily. I bought a lot of stuff for it. I could have gotten a really nice 3D printer for that price I imagine. The only problem is that I have used the lathe and mill to repair farm trackers and trucks in ways I'm pretty sure a 3D printer could never do. I can't imagine printing out a new harmonic balance pulley for my tractor out of plastic. I have a feeling that wouldn't work very well. So until they get 3D printers that can print out in steel or cast iron I'll have to pass. ?
I LOVE my lathe/mill combo! ?
I think I got off-topic?
Sorry bout that.

Can it cause damage to the pi3 to switch around to different SD cards for example noobs to SD card with octoprint ? Thanks for any advice ??? if your in Canada I understand you guys like your dodges so chop the front of the tractor extend with rails 2 426 hemi's and a custom chassis like Grandpa did in the Munsters when he built count dragula ??
Can it cause damage to the pi3 to switch around to different SD cards for example noobs to SD card with octoprint ?
I don't see how that could damage anything. I swap SD cards with different OS on them all the time and haven't had a problem yet. That's the beauty of these pies. The SD card does it all really. So you can have different SD cards to instantly swap out robot brains from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde.

So when using octoprint on the pi what do you do after that switch to a different computer to slice and print?
I think I got off-topic?
That's ok. You stayed on topic just long enough to change the subject
Best way to have a conversation at our age really. Stream of consciousness they call it. Always let one thing lead to another. In fact, that's a good way to tell if life is getting boring... when one thing finally ceases to lead to another, you know life has gotten boring
You should program that into your robot. Pareidolia. Let one thing remind her of another and another and another until it becomes an original thought
So when using octoprint on the pi what do you do after that switch to a different computer to slice and print?
I don't know anything about octoprint or 3D printing. If you're coming from a RPi4 to a RP3 you may need to change some configurations in the octoprint software? You'll need to ask one of the 3D experts. I don't even know what octoprint is. ?

So when using octoprint on the pi, what do you do after that, switch to a different computer to slice and print?
Octo-Print on the pi
Octo-Print stay on Pi
Pi stay on printer
Make drawing on other computer, then slice, then send gcode to Octo-Print over network. Then tell printer to print using network.
Safety Tip : ... Keep camera on print just in case it bursts into flames
Safety Tip # 2 : ... Keep fire extinguisher handy (and marshmallows)
If you're coming from a RPi4 to a RP3 you may need to change some configurations in the octoprint software?
Don't know the answer to that. All the people that I know that have used a Pi4 on Octo-Print only did it to see if it would work, (hey, look ma! I just used a Cray Supercomputer to calculate the tip for my waitress) then they moved back to the Pi3 or even a Pi ZeroW
I don't have a camera for printer but I'll stand by with burgers max bed temp 120 min temp 5 lol male to male USB to hook computer to raspberry pi?
male to male USB to hook computer to raspberry pi?
Could you be a little more specific ?
Do I connect my computer via USB to the USB on the RPI this would require a male to male end USB cable that's what I was saying for modeling and slicing and sending to RPI to print
So the computer to rpi and the RPI to the ramps board?
