Actually, Octo-Print does work with the Pi4, but, the Pi4 is really overkill for it. The Pi3B is the recommended solution.

The 3B works with less tweaking, whereas the 4 can require a bit of coaxing to get it working properly

I guess I can split the HDMI that makes 2 pi three's and a 4 first pie 3 is running the sound system and embedded to far to remove that's one of the things I haven't shown yet I wanted to have something to put the music to like the printer printing and everything else the second mouse and keyboard will just have to be off board I guess somewhere I guess just plug them in as needed

Just so we're clear here. The Pi has to be dedicated to the printer

The Pi will be physically connected to the controller board of the printer, and it's going to stay there

It's going to live there and take commands from you over your network and start prints on your printer for you

It's going to send you pictures over your network from the camera on your printer

It's going to be able to do this because it's going to be permanently attached to your printer, and dedicated, body and soul to your printer

Your printer will be its entire life. It won't get popcorn. It won't stream movies.

It may occasionally talk, but don't expect an intelligent conversation

You don't need a screen or keyboard or mouse. It's just a middle-man

Duce Robot I agree 200% with Spyder!  Don't waste a Pi4 on OctoPrint.  Relegate an older model, preferably with Wifi unless wired is real easy.  The Pi will really be a part of your 3D printer so it doesn't even need all the "toys" that comes with the full blown image of Raspian.

Looks like my idea to have a robot hooked to a remote net work where people can interact could happen theoretically speaking.

How true!  It comes as it's own image, but can be manually loaded on top of Raspian, but that would require a lot more work and configuring.  Much, much easier to use the OctoPrint image.

I just hooked up a Logitech USB camera.  Worked right off the bat, although I did make one tweak that got mentioned somewhere else.
