I just joined the group after viewing the new video "getting Started with PlatformIO". Great Video, cleared up a lot of question I had been trying to work my way through. Anyway during the loading process He referred to checking on version of Python and loading if needed. I had already installed the programs with out doing this. I went back to the command prompt and checked and didn't fine any Python. So I installed it and now it is there 3.9.1. I don't know if I need to reinstall Platformio now or not. On the other hand everything seems to be working properly other than I'm still learning. Much to learn and at 70 it takes longer to soak in.
The demo on servos in the video is close to my current project except I using a closed loop stepper. It is for blast gates for dust collection in my wood working shop. Using current sensors to detect which tool is being used and the stepper to move a rotating gate for that tool. It would have 8 possible positions in the 360*.
You don't have to reinstall Platformio.
Sounds like an interesting project !
