Hello all! My name is Richard (49) and I work as a service engineer in the metalworking industry at a service company in the Netherlands. If a customer calls that he has a malfunction with a machine, I am sent there to solve it. It does not matter whether it concerns electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatics.
It regularly happens that machine controls no longer function (brands such as Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain). But it can also be more exotic controls of machines from Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China.
The controls can be 5 years old up to 50 years old. The challenge is always to get the machine to work.
Because I also convert machines to other functions and controls, I would like to know more about Arduino. I got my hands on an Arduino Uno for the first time a few days ago so I'm just getting started.
