@frogandtoad A tutorial on github would be useful. Also, I don't remember what sub-forum, thread? this is in, but if all tutorials were in a sub-forum, and each topic had it's own thread then I could enable or disable subscriptions to each one and thus not be disturbed for topics I have no interest in. Right now I am enabled for ALL subscriptions because threads gpo off topic often. Maybe more moderators are needed to switch off topic stuff to the correct topic. Happens a lot in the welcome topic, I know I did it without knowing.

Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

@frogandtoad If someone is getting a little passionate about educating others I can live with that even if I am not currently interested.

@zander Yeh, all of the ideas about how to do tutorials right are great if one wanted to build a proper tutorial. Rock and roll! Go for it!

I edit my posts to fix typos, correct grammar, or improve clarity. On-screen keyboards are evil.

@binaryrhyme My teaching days are over, and I will not call myself an expert anymore, too much water under the bridge. It's been 20 years since I was a working programmer!
