I am looking for a suitable stand for the Pinecil soldering iron. Some time ago I bought a cheap kit on Amazon that came with an iron and various accessories. The stand it included was one of the standard cheap ones, but the Pinecil iron I bought is too thin for the conic wire cage to catch it as it fits right through the bottom. The "stand" sold by Pine64 is one of those very cheap wire pro-up things. Just wondering if anyone has this iron, and has found a stand that will work well with it.

Similarly, I have been trying to find a silicon USB C cable, but thus far the only one I have seen is on Pine64's website, but it not long enough for my liking. Anyone seen a 10' silicon USB C cable anywhere?

I recently purchased a Pinecil and my old soldering iron kit had a stand and I retro fitted it...   I used a coat hanger and wrapped it around a screw driver handle (thin driver) with my vice.  I cut it to fit.  When I was done I was able to fit it to the older stand by inserting the end of my mod in to the old stand.  It closes up the opening to not allow the Pinecil to fall in.  I tried searching for another stand for it, but no luck.

I power my Pinecil via the barrel connector using an old laptop 90W brick at 18.5V @4.9A.  This gives me 430 degrees on the iron in seconds.   I also have a Anker 65W USB-C Charger that I have used with it but I prefer the brick as I use the USB-C charger elsewhere.

Pinecil has everything out of stock so their silicon USB-C cables are out of stock.  I have also wanted to purchase their desktop 120W power supply and it is also out of stock... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  But I find that their offerings are pretty reasonably priced.

@alj I am going to have to check my notification settings. I did not know anyone replied! Thanks for the idea. I was starting to think about the same sort of thing as the best solution. I concur on their power supply. I like several of their offerings, but they are out of everything...like most everyone at this point I guess.
