Yaknow, it just occurred to me that I should check the wifi signal strength cuz of that big hunk of metal covering the wifi bits on the pi4, and, wow, talk about sucky. It's at 81 at a distance of 6 ft from the router
So, that case is good on heat dissipation, bad on wifi signal
Just thought I'd mention it
I know it's only tangentially related, but there' s a desktop buster Pi 4 build image here->
https://www.instructables.com/id/ROS-Melodic-on-Raspberry-Pi-4-RPLIDAR/
I've not done much more than boot it up and run roscore, but that seems to work okay.
I'm struggling more to get the Pi booting off an SSD before I try getting pretty LIDAR scans off it 🙂
I'm not going to try to respond to you in Spanish because google might change the meaning of my words.
If you intend to try ROS on the pi, you are almost stuck with ubuntu because there does not seem to be a decent install path for raspbian Buster. And no, ROS isn't available in software boutique in ubuntu. It has to be installed manually, or you can start with a preloaded image.
Ubiquity robotics has one for pi 3 here https://www.ubiquityrobotics.com/download/
There are ros images available for raspbian jessie, but, they are over a year old
I also have a kinect 360 and was planning to put it to use once I get this thing working, but that will not happen for awhile due to the fact that I keep getting distracted by other projects. If I make any progress with the kinect 360 I will be sure to inform you
Thank you for your kind words

I hope to provide some information after my tests, once I have something clear.
That's good to hear. ? It's always informative to hear how others approach these problems. Best of luck in your journey of discovery.
