Hallo Everyone,
my name is Harald Schmitt, nicknamed as "longwave-harry".
I´m a German newbie working for many years as a technician at a longwave-transmitting-station (Donebach, West Germany - broadcasting the "Deutschlandfunk" -signal on 153kHz / 500kW via 360m high steel-lattice-antennas).

Now that I´m retired, working in the garden and as a conductor for a hobby-choir does not fulfill al my needs. Somehow I disliked my skills covered with dust and buried under day-to-day-clutter. So I looked around what else will serve to wakeup my interest and keep my brain alive.

Arduino and Raspberry Pi came along and I´m in need for more information.

My dream is to use these devices for the replacement of defect MIDI-parts in an old Johannus-organ, to bring it back to life with low costs.

When I first saw some of the dronebot-workshop video-clips on YT, I was deeply impressed by the brilliant quality visual-wise (clear different viewpoints with smart angel-changes) and the excellent audio without any background noises or other side-issues, all in all well broadcasted information. It always is a pleasure to listen to Bill´s smart structured content and to follow his instructions and helpful advices. So I am proud to be a member of your forum, thank you so much for this opportunity, Bill.

Looking forward to enlarge my small knowledgebase with the help of you all.
Kind regards so far from Germany and sorry for my halting English, it´s because my flowers and vegetables don’t speak to me in that language. 🙂
Till next,  Harald
