Hello,

My name is Howard.  I have experience with computers, machining, woodworking, and a little bit of electronics.  I am interested in CNC machines for working wood, and I have several electronics projects in the works right now.

@growls Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have some interesting hobbies. If you have a question be sure to start a new topic in the appropriate forum/sub forum.

First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

Welcome to the forum @growls!   Indeed, many wood workers, and metal worker on this forum as well as electronics enthusiast and software folks.. Be sure to check out all the wonderful videos that are at the bottom of the main page..Bill (Dronebot host) has done a terrific job of making content easy and doable for those with little experience with hardware and software..
