Firstly, my thanks to Bill for providing the videos and other enlightening material on dronbotworkshop.  Now a little intro on my background.

Although I have a Ph.D. (1975) in Electrical Engineering, I am new to the field of modern microcontrollers.  The last serious programming (FORTRAN) that I did was about 60 years ago in connection with my graduate school work.  My professional experience in the field of semiconductor technology R&D spans 6 decades and focuses on process integration and device physics.  I have worked mainly with CMOS technologies, both bulk and SOI (silicon-on-insulator), for end products including low-power logic, high-performance logic, DRAM and SRAM.

By the way, I was given my nickname, "modelman," by my colleagues because it alliterates with my last name and because my work involved a significant amount of finite-element semiconductor device and process modeling

I look forward to contributing to the forums and learning from the expertise and experience of other members.

Regards,

The Modelman
