Hello to everybody in DroneBot Workshop!
Electronics and computers combined with technic was always part of my interest. Unfortunately, because of family duty, job and etc. I never had enough time to embody my ideas even they exist more than twenty years. But anyway, in those years I was stealing hour or two every weekend in intention to achieve some knowledge and to realize ideas somehow, someday. What are my ideas? There is bunch of them, but I’ve decided to start with developing underwater drone. There are already many types to buy but to make one by myself it’s a more than challenge for me. My plan is to reach at least 30m deep water but with PC on surface and with Ethernet cable as way of communication with drone. I already developed some things with drone camera but it’s just a small piece of whole job. Now I’m working on sensors and the gyro one makes me so much headaches. So, my first question on forum will be about gyro sensor and mathematical equations I found in code example from DroneBot web page. Soon I'll post the topic. Thank you all in advance! πŸ™‚
Regards Vily

Welcome aboard Vily!

Wow! Sounds like you're into a very interesting and challenging drone project!Β  Awesome!

When it comes to Math problems, Paul McWhorter pops into my mind...Β  go to page 28 in this thread...

Are you developing a submarine...Β  or just a Diving thing?Β  Waterproofing, to me, sounds like the biggest challenge!Β  LOL

Good luck!

Β

Have Fun,
Joe Lyddon

@joelyddon, @vily

McWhorter has a great tutorial on a 9-axis IMU in 26 lesson.Β  He goes pretty deep into the math as well!
