I live in the northern part of bavaria germany and I am working with electronics about 50 years, starting developing hardware with an for the Zilog Z80 and program for that in assembler. Withe the beginning of the PCs I found a company selling them and soon we startet with networking based on Novell NetWare and all the products arround. We also started education for Novell and Microsoft system adminins.
No I am retired and play with self developed smart home devices. I have build a smart home system with CAN Bus and Arduino Nano connected to my Home Assistant Server working well and stable.
Actually I am interested in robots and RC devices and I own a quadcopter

I built a Smart Home automation system using a central Raspberrry Pi and openHab which worked OK till it got flooded. I am now starting to build another one using a controller Pi but ESP 32 decentralized nodes. I am hoping to use node red to implement the GUI and programming.
