......and I live in the Netherlands.

I am currently 64 years old (soon +1) and electronics has always been a big hobby of mine.

I started as a 14 year old building FM receivers and transmitters, remote controls etc, and later on I started a MSc Electronics study. Did some robotics stuff afterwards but soon ended up with computers - pre-IBM PC era!!

After 35 years of ICT I picked up the electronics again and now I am happily soldering again with al kinds of things. Thanks to the DroneBot workshop I stared with the Arduino controllers and now I am building nice things with these - massive project ongoing: 7" touch screen with ESP32, wireless charging for batteries, etc in order to create a universal remote control for visual impaired.

Hello Hans, and welcome to the forum..I've visited your beautiful country..(Amsterdam's Keukenhof gardens), Rotterdam, Kinderdijk..and the beautiful countryside.. Indeed, we are all learning new things, and I look forward to seeing your projects come to life! I still learning who to program in C++, the language of Arduino..Although I have many years of programing experience,  it's just a matter of learning the syntax and command structures. The electronics and electrical is what I did for 49 years in the industrial process controls arena, and now interested in robotics and remote control..It will be some time however before I'm ready to tackle any major projects as the learning curve is steep for old codgers like me...lol

75 and still kick'n...

Regards,

LouisR
