Hello. I've been interested in electronics and computing most of my life. It's amazing how much things have changed and continue to change at an accelerating rate.
At college, although semiconductors were being introduced, we were still taught about thermionic valves. We computed in Algol on an ICL mainframe.
A few years later I was designing and building a Z80 based computer and programming it in machine code.
Much later I remember programming 8051 microcomputers, The program had to be burnt into a separate EPROM.
Microcontrollers are now a lot easier to use, a lot more powerful, and have a lot more functionality. I find the DroneBot an excellent channel to learn about, and learn how to use new devices and developments.
My current interests are electronics, computing (currently mainly microcontrollers), and 3D printing'.
