Hello everyone, I am BernieS and very happy to be part of the Forum. I'm new to Arduino so I'll have a few questions now & then. Electronics is not a problem , it's the coding for me. I look forward to reading your topics.

@bernies Welcome to the forum. When you have your first question start a new topic in the appropriate forum/sub-forum. I highly recommend reading the help topics on the right of this post especially how to post code and pictures.
First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
Sure you can learn to be a programmer, it will take the same amount of time for me to learn to be a Doctor.

Hi and welcome. Good choice with Arduino, a good accessible mcu with a strong IDE/C++.
There is a great deal available to help learning for Arduino. Also have a look at the Arduino Project Hub, 1000's of projects.
