New member Gary, aka HotGrubb

Hi all, I'm Gary, HotGrubb is my band.

I am retired from a 20 year career in Software Development, 15 yrs as a prototype CNC machinist, and 15 yrs as a professional guitar player, in reverse order. I restarted the music thing as HotGrubb.com a few years back as a social outlet. It was fun until Covid! 

I have built a couple of CNC routers and do a bit of woodworking including turning. After I retired in 2018 I joined a Maker Space and met a lot of really interesting folks. I find myself doing a fair amount of 3D printing for various purposes and do some engraving with a K40 laser.

As a kid, I built numerous RC airplanes and as an adult became a private pilot and plane owner.

I took several years of electronics in high school but never really applied that knowledge in the real world. I decided that with the cold weather I would set up an electronics lab in my studio. I have been tinkering with Arduino and Raspberry Pi but haven't yet found a project that inspires me.

I found DroneBot through YouTube searches and keep coming back because Bill knows how to teach.
