Newbie

Hi, I'm Retread and I'm new.   I spent 5 years in the USAF as an electronics tech in the 70's during Vietnam.  Then I got married and spent most of my time raising children and chasing a career of mostly  IT support (32 years).  Now I'm back and enjoying learning what the military didn't teach me about electronics.  My current focus is around building fan and motor controls (PWM) using Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi.  I want to build solar water and air collectors and I want to control pumps and fans to maximize efficiency of the collectors.  I also want wireless (HTTP) reporting of the temps, fan and pump speeds, etc. so I can monitor my collectors.  I've built one fan control utilizing Arduino and Bill's tutorials.  Next I want to replicate that circuit with ESP32, and I want to try some other transistor drivers to expand my knowledge and experience.  I need to order more parts as I think I bricked my ESP8266 but I'm waiting for Adafruit to receive more Raspberry Pi 4's with 2GB RAM.  I'm also picking up a slot-car racing hobby that I haven't done since I was a kid!   Weeeeeeee........
