Just want to say hi and introduce myself. I'm 62 years young, retired three years ago. Took a couple years to refit a 43 foot sailboat, then last year my wife and I sailed (and motored) from North Carolina to the Florida Key. I found out I really didn't enjoy it like I thought I would (got too bored). So now I am located at our new to us in 2021 Florida home (we moved from Minnesota). I now spend my days working on projects of all kinds. Some are from the wife's honey do list, others are my electronic project. Lately I have been working more with the ESP32 modules and I love them. @helisteve Welcome to the forum; from your bio, I think you will fit right in. Do you have any of the ESP32 series 3 modules yet? If not but interested, let me know, and I will give you my links on AliExpress if you want to go the cheap but longer delivery time route.
First computer 1959. Retired from my own computer company 2004.
Hardware - Expert in 1401, and 360, fairly knowledge in PC plus numerous MPU's and MCU's
Major Languages - Machine language, 360 Macro Assembler, Intel Assembler, PL/I and PL1, Pascal, Basic, C plus numerous job control and scripting languages.
My personal scorecard is now 1 PC hardware fix (circa 1982), 1 open source fix (at age 82), and 2 zero day bugs in a major OS.

@zander , I do not have the series 3 model. I have just been using the Dev model which all seem to use the WROOM series. I will let you know if I decide to try some other types. Thank you.
