Topic starter

The name comes from my CB Radio days in the 70s, and refers to the fact I sold Petfoods & Accessories on open markets around the Kent area of England.

I have an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University which, sad to say, I have had little occasion to use in my working life.  Now retired and living in W Yorkshire.

Interest in computers started at university where in my final year, 1972, the department had a PDP11 computer. No monitors just teletype input and output and Dec tape storage.

Since then moved on through ZX81, Amstrad CPC, etc then building my own Desktop units.  Bought RasPi fairly early but work, kids (4), took up lot of time. Now trying to excite interest in grandkids (9) and hopefully great grandkids (2 so far).

Present projects getting to grips with new IDE2 and Web version.

Look forward to discussing problems with all likeminded.

Hi Petmanalex,

PDP11 eh! I recall those minis but did not get to program them. I read mathematics at Manchester and Birmingham universities graduating in 1976.

My computing experience was as subsidiary courses over my three years programming in Algol 60 and Fortran on ICL 1906a mainframes

Halcyon days!

Anyway, enough reminiscing, welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find it a great place to hang out.
