Yes, it uses the same Acotbotics channeling that I am using for DB1. In this design, he is using a tractor instead of wheels.
It's a great Instructable, one issue I would have with it though is the use of the 12v lead-acid battery for the motors. The author is correct in that they are a lot easier to work with than a bunch of 18650's, but they weigh a lot.
