The pin on a connecting wire to the Arduino broke off and now I can't get it out?
When taking pictures of the problem I was surprised to see the funny shaped ends?
The broken one looks like a tube but I am not sure as I only have an old digital camera.
The only way I can think of to prevent it happening again is to insert stackable header pins first as they are all held firmly together in their plastic casing. If a pin breaks off I only have to replace the header pins unlike the header pins on the Arduino board which are soldered into place and a bit hard to remove.
So am I the only one silly enough to break off a wire connection in a pin socket?
While trying to desolder the pin socket I accidentally pulled off the plastic case and the piece of broken wire fell out ... problem solved!
Using a large pliers I yanked another plastic case off to see if that worked as well. The plastic cases could then be pushed back on the contacts and squeezed tight with same pliers.

I was considering suggesting a Dremel, but your accidental solution is much more efficient
Good job !
