I wanted to try cutting out a chassis for a small bot on my CNC.Β  I did a layout in tinkercad for what I thought I wanted and cut it out in Lexan. I had two pieces and cut both and found design errors πŸ™‚Β  I got smart and used cardboard to test with from there out.Β  Β Β

First draft cut from some sort of poly plastic I had lying around. The motor mounts are 3d printed for now and slide into a cutout.

I have an uno clone on it now but I think I'll use an ESP.

Thart's very cool !

I like it a lot! Makes me want one more than I already do. I'm having a problem getting rid of one of my 3D printers so I can make room for a bigger one, so, adding a CNC isn't gonna be easy considering my space concerns. I've only got room for 2 machines of that size. No idea where I'd put a 3rd one

Hmm... Maybe if I make room under one of my shelves...

Good job tho. Oh, and I think that maybe octoprint might also work for cnc machines

I am going to set up an RPI or the like with CNCJS soon for no-laptop printing.
