So I present to the class my proof of concept for an image detection, digital, binary encoding system.

To be sure this probably has no use in the real world. This is a because I can project not a because I'm going to change the world project.

It is interesting to think about though because you have to admit we spend a lot of time interfacing computers with people but we don't spend a lot of time interfacing people with computers..

I also have a hypothesis but it completely depends on how responsive I can make the system.

My hypothesis is that, like back in the day when you played mortal Kombat and just did the finishing move, that if I can use the system in a limited but regular way at normal input it would become muscle memory and second nature and technically become like a language of its own.

I have some various plans for different responses and different inputs. right now my thoughts are greetings, conversational, and directional but that is just the top of my head.

Capturing the correct inputs at 60 to 80 frames per second is challenging.

Enjoy 🙂

@supercharlie

So is it encoding 1's and 0's by counting one or two fingers?

Yup 😁

Ok here's how the sausage is made..

I found physically it was easier to do one or two fingers.. the fist tells where one ends and the other starts as well as the "post"

The fingers are cross encoded 0 for one finger, 1 for two.
