I have been working on my version of db1. I call it db1.5. I've used esp32s and got it driving with internet controls.
At the moment, it's just a cam robot. I'm still working on it. The next stages will introduce some autonomous behaviour. My code is on my github repository: https://github.com/jonathanrandall/db1.5

Nice, I really liked the original DB1 and I think it is a pity that it was never completed.

Thanks Valerio. This project has been going about as long as DB1. So, I can't really blame Bill for getting side tracked. The next episode should be coming out in a few weeks (hopefully). I've got the encoders working, so I just need to get the gyro and the ultra sonic sensors working and I've got some code for goal seeking behaviour. That's the short term plan. Long term plan is to get the robot to go to the kitchen and make a gin and tonic for the wife.
