By the way, it might be informative to gain an understanding of what I've been doing lately.  I'm setting up several different SD system cards on multiple computers.   I'm installing various features and software on them repeatedly.  So in this situation it's not a matter of typing in a password ever now and then.  It's more like being constantly pestered for a password with every little thing I'm trying to do.
