I looked around the net and found a lot of info, but couldn't find a library that would work the way I wanted.

So, I made this Playstation 2 controller library for Raspberry PI

It would be interesting to know if this library works for any other combination of Raspberry PI / Playstation 2 Controller than mine 🙂

I'm going to try using a ps3 controller soon.. what were the issues with the standard modules you ran into?

I only found one, and when I tried it, it would indicate button clicks all the time, even though I didn't touch the controller.

It would react to some button presses, but not others.

The joystick reading seems more like random data than anything else.

I suspected a timing issue, so I shaved off everything except the parts I understood.

To my surprise, it worked+and that became the basis for my library.

Will it work on PS3? I have no idea. I don't even know if it will work on genuine Sony PS2 controllers.
