@mrremedy You can get the curricular slide rule for aviation - typically for weights and spg of liquids (aka, how heavy is my Airplane with X fuel).

@zander Yup, I liked nostalgic feel of the Simpson Meter (Etched/Painted Writing) Baklite case, snappy clicky knobs.  But you're absolutely right, Riding on the road with that VOM woud definitely destroy it, ore at least de-calibrate it.

I picked up a couple of cheapy DMMs from Harbor Freight that seem to work great for simple low voltage systems.
They still going after 6 years.  Not to shabby for the price.  😀
