Sort of

I started following with the same parts and all, then he changed directions and I had that idea about the toolbox, and it kinda took off on its own

Then I used the same ideas to start Marvin, and added complications, like arms, head, speech

My brain just keeps going off in random directions. I figured out how to make a resin 3d print glow

Why ? I don't know. It was cool, what can I say ?

Actually, things have happened, and I no longer work at Dave and Busters (thx to cv19), so he's been relegated to the basement, where he has very little room to maneuver, so I've decided to upgrade his... (he's running an old version of ROS which I never knew how to use in the first place and am mostly ignoring) well, he's got 2 computers, an Nvidea Jetson Nano for the brain (both are pub/sub), and Raspberry Pi 4 (used to be a 3b+, which is what I've been trying to upgrade, along with a case and active cooling)

But, again, ton of stuff going on, and not enough hands...

Or eyes, which is my latest problem

So does anybody know of a reasonably small prebuilt project to connect a single (green) LED to 120VAC that might work for this project?

I've added the  L298N Connected to ESP32 as the receiver the other ESP32 the Transmitter. 

I've been watching bill video i am using test  programme . thank for this great video.

I was  putting the mac address in the wrong until i watch the video.

 still a work in progress.

i also have skull project working with servos and leds i make a video put it up for you to all see.

Judging from the bottle of Testors paint on your bench this R2D2 is going to be small.

I’ve been thinking about your Dr Who K9 robot and hoping that you might re-surface and give an update.  Does it follow you around your workplace and bark when someone gets too close to the toolbox?

Wow, your niece was very late to the party :)

You may be able to save R2 from dropping off the desk (going forwards) by putting an infrared proximity sensor near the front of the body or (better) at the bottom of the front wheel housing. As long as it gets a return signal then there's probably more desk in front of it so you can proceed forward.

When it no longer gets a return, you've probably approached the edge of the desk and it's looking down at the floor (or a chair seat) so you can do R2's panic whistle and back up an inch before stopping.

Your 3d work looks very good ! Don't panic about the body because you may be better off printing it in sections so that you can get back in later to replace tired batteries or make upgrades. Make it with a T slot on one side of the part and a T groove on the other so you can unscrew the base plate and slide the sections off.
