About Me

In Amateur Radio for 62 years, and bought TRS-80 computer when first introduced around 1979 . Designed interface for it to use old teletype when printers were not within budget. Also made hardware to interface HF amateur radio receivers with TRS-80 for radio teletype.

Started career in digital communications with a power utility after Air Force hitch. Leased phone lines were required for anything above 300 bps, and analog modems were a "buck-a-bit" ($10,000) for 9600 bps modem. Microprocessors changed all that.
