An EE with a long (~31 years) career span. Started as a HW engineer designing distributed control systems for Nuclear power plants and then shifted to VLSI design when the field started emerging fast with the advent of HDLs (hardware description languages). Have worked for both Govt (India) and private organizations (i.e startups and multinational corporations) in Silicon Valley US as well as in India in both hands-on and senior management roles.

Did a speech recognition Synthesizable HW IP startup from India many years ago (When speech recognition was not as hot as it is today...). Started to take interest and learn about AI (deep learning) during the covid-19 lock-down time and for past couple of months have been looking into the happenings in the field of robotics as I think this is an area that is both, exciting in terms of technology (ies) and has great potential to touch human lives in ways not imagined before.

Noticed this forum forum while looking for information regarding what goes on in designing a bot (something like DB1) and found the material extremely informative. Would like to thank Bill for all the information that he has so meticulously created and made available.
