Processing

An introduction and overview of Processing (from Processing.org). It’s ability to interact with hardware GPIOs etc, capture and process images and video and display data graphically in real time, make it a very versatile application that might be of interest to other subscribers other than myself.

I concur... Pocessing is an amasing tool, as is p5.js!

Daniel Shiffman is also one heck of a teacher 🙂

Cheers.

I watched about 20 videos last night and it all was interesting. Though, the trainer, Daniel Shiffman, kept mentioning Data Visualization and used many from Java Examples, I assume it also has some Arduino Libraries - on their page, there was a book mentioning Arduino as well.

I should thank you for mentioning this "Processing" - as I watched those videos, I learned a lot that I can make use of at least in my teaching classes.

At the very very beginners stage that I am in wrt Processing, I hope this can be used with Python or even other programming languages. I will eventually find out more about the P5.js.

On his youtube channel, I also found some Plxel videos. Havent watched those yet, but they always make me feel interested.

Processing can be used with python too, and some others.

p5.js is simply a javascript library script that you embed into your webpage to obtain Processing like functionality in a webpage via using javascript instead.

They are both very good.

Daniel Shiffman is a great teacher - I wish he was mine in my school days.

Cheers.

Thanks to technology like YouTube, Vimeo and others. We all have him, Bill (DroneBotWorkshop), Paul McWhorter and many great tutors - and their training videos will survive them for our future generations. Something unthinkable of when at least I was a kid. But yes, having them as a live tutor would have done miracles for sure. I mean, I would have been exposed and even this whole thing would have become so interesting (just because of their art of presentation) that I might have kind of "fought the world" to make it a career.

I will be dedicating weekly 5 or 7 hours of watching these videos (and try to fit in some more during weekends).
