Ive seen quite a few people attempt an Arduino based and Pic based power supplies but it seems no one ever completes them or if they do they do not post results of the endeavor . I think an Arduino power supply with either a 1603 or 2004 I2C display and a rotary encoder for menus and parameters would be a good way for people to learn digital electronics as well as linear electronics and in the end have a usable project for the bench when completed .
