Building Arduino clones and dev boards

Using an Arduino for projects is interesting, but a big part of using one is understanding how they work and for me this entails learning to build an Arduino clone and dev boards for different use cases.

I feel the same way for circuits in general.  I can understand what most components do (and some basic circuits), but I can only really learn about circuits by creating them from scratch - Reading a bunch of schematics although interesting doesn't really improve ones knowledge. - So likewise, I need to know the why, what, when and where 🙂
