Using IDE Serial Monitor to Aid in Troubleshooting
I have the basic navigation base built and have run the motor controller test code. I want to develop the code to synchronize the motor speed using the encode inputs back to the Motor Controller board (my motors run at different speeds). This is all new to me so I would like to use the Arduino IDE serial monitor to help debug the code, but I have concerns since both the USB cable and PCB are providing Vcc. Is this possible without blowing the USB port or the PCB? Is there a better alternative (would like to have a display I could just plug into the robot). Thanks!
