Good morning, thank you for allowing me to join the forum.
Let me introduce myself:
My name is Douwe Bakker and I live with my wife in Vledder (The Netherlands).
We both have hobbies. We each have a room in our house. She paints and I am always involved with electronics.
My age is 72 years. In the past I was trained as an electronic engineer at the Rens&Rens institute in Hilversum.
During my working life I have always worked as a self-employed radio-television technician.
I have now been retired for several years.

I had not heard of Domoticz before... have you also checked out "Home Assistant" or "Node-RED", amongst many other popular choices?
