Hello, my name is Roger, and I am trying to learn coding.  I’m not a young man.  In fact the telephone equipment I worked on, well, you can view it in museums now.  But it’s important to me to keep learning.  So I’ve bought myself a MAX ARM, and an ESP32 learning kit. But I am struggling to get the arm working on my Mac Tahoe.  So, I hope to learn new things from the forum and perhaps get my project running. Looking forward to any help I can get.

Hi Roger. I am not a young man either but I did start learning programming and how computers worked before home computers existed. I used to go to a store where you could buy used electronic stuff for my electronics hobby including used telephone hardware discarded as the phone company went solid state.

It is difficult to give help unless you have the same hardware. I have never used the Mac Tahoe (Mac computer?). I see the MaxArm is well supported.

I would suggest that you learn Python for the Mac or RPi as well as Arduino C++ for the ESP32.

Hi Roger, @hey-rog

Nice to have you in our community! I’m working on a smart weather warning terminal system based on the ESP32‑P4. The project is nearly finished and I plan to release it by next Wednesday. Feel free to follow my future updates if you’re interested.

@robotbuilder Thank you for, the advice nice to hear from you. I am learning python …..using audrino IDE, my learning curve is steep, but I find it interesting.  I am making headway with my Mac, it doesn’t like some of the software though. But I think I should have it figured by tomorrow.

@yassin   Thank you, and I will watch for your posts, sounds like a great project.  I’ve just started playing around with a ESP32 wroom.  It’s an amazing device.

Hi Roger, plans always change unexpectedly. I finished the final stage of testing yesterday, and the whole system now runs perfectly and stably. The new post can be released in advance. I’m looking forward to your valuable comments on this project. There are still many aspects that can be optimized and improved.
